MCC Panel
Drawer-type and fixed-type MCC panels from 63A to 4000A. Form 3b / 4a / 4b separation. Type-tested at CPRI. Every motor on your plant floor, under one roof.
A Motor Control Centre is the backbone of every large process plant. It consolidates starter, protection, and isolation for dozens of motors into a single, maintainable assembly.
What is an MCC Panel?
An MCC, Motor Control Centre, is a floor-standing assembly that houses individual motor starter units for multiple motors in a single enclosure.
MCC panels come in two fundamental construction types. In a fixed-type MCC, each starter unit is permanently wired into the enclosure. In a drawer-type (withdrawable) MCC, each starter unit slides into a cassette that can be pulled out under live conditions.
Form segregation determines how well the internal compartments are separated from each other. Form 4b, the highest level under IEC 61439-1, gives each motor unit its own compartment.
Subtech manufactures MCC panels from 63A to 4000A incomer rating, in drawer-type and fixed-type construction, with Form 2b through Form 4b segregation.
Why this matters for your facility
Drawer-Type Modularity. One Motor Down, Others Running.
Withdrawable drawer units allow a faulted starter to be removed and replaced without shutting down adjacent motors.
Form 4b: Fault in One Unit Stays in One Unit.
Physical barriers between every drawer, the busbar, and cable terminations prevent arc flash from one module propagating to the bus or adjacent feeders.
CPRI Type-Tested at 65 kA.
Our MCC designs are short-circuit tested at CPRI at 50 kA and 65 kA fault levels.
Branded Switchgear. Full BOM Traceability.
Contactors from Schneider, Siemens, ABB, or L&T. Overload relays from the same OEMs.
VFD and Soft-Starter Integration.
VFD outgoing units with input filters, output chokes, and bypass contactor sets are a standard offering.
Profibus / Modbus Integration for Intelligent MCC.
Intelligent MCC variants with motor management relays provide per-motor energy metering and remote start/stop.
Where Subtech panels are deployed
Pharma and API Plants
GMP-compliant MCC panels for utilities: HVAC drives, cooling tower fans, AHU motors, purified water pump sets.
Water Treatment Plants
UP Jal Nigam and Delhi Jal Board use Subtech MCC panels to control raw water intake pumps, filter backwash pumps, and chemical dosing drives.
Cement and Paper Mills
High-current, high-duty-cycle motor loads in kiln drives, raw mills, and paper machines.
Food Processing and Packaging
SS-304 enclosure option with IP65 rating for wash-down environments.
Refineries and Petrochemical Plants
Ex-zone-compliant outgoing cables, purged and pressurised enclosure options.
Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 Suppliers
Honda Power Products and other automotive OEMs use Subtech MCC panels for press shop, paint shop, and general utility motor control.
MCC Panel Configurations
All configurations built to your motor schedule and SLD.
Fixed-Type MCC
Permanently wired outgoing units. Most cost-effective for installations where motors can tolerate planned section shutdown for maintenance.
Get quoteDrawer-Type (Withdrawable) MCC
Each motor unit in an individual withdrawable cassette. Live removal and replacement without disturbing adjacent motors.
Get quoteSoft-Starter MCC
3-contactor soft-starter bypass units for centrifugal pumps, fans, and compressors.
Get quoteVFD MCC
Variable frequency drive outgoing units with input filter, output choke, and bypass contactor set.
Get quoteIntelligent MCC with Profibus / Modbus
Motor management relays in each outgoing unit provide per-motor energy metering and remote start/stop over Profibus DP or Modbus RTU to DCS/SCADA.
