What is a GSM Motor Starter?
A GSM motor starter is a motor protection and control unit that includes a built-in GSM / 4G modem. You send a text message or press a button in the mobile app, and the starter switches the motor contactor on or off.
Beyond remote on/off, the GSM motor starter monitors all the critical electrical parameters that cause motor failure: phase failure, phase reversal, phase imbalance, undervoltage, overvoltage, and overcurrent.
The same unit handles dry-run protection for pump motors.
Subtech's GSM motor starters are specified for single-phase motors from 0.5 HP and three-phase motors up to 30 HP in the standard range.
